Physician Assistant
Kurt Anderson, PA-C is a Certified Physician Assistant who joined Northern Michigan Rheumatology in October, 2010. He is directly involved in the evaluation and management of rheumatology patients, with Dr. Kazmers as supervising physician. His role includes assisting Dr. Kazmers with patient care and follow-up. Kurt has extensive experience as a Physician Assistant, having worked previously in a number of clinical settings. He served as a Physician Assistant in Orthopedic Surgery at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital from 1999-2010, which involved taking care of hospitalized orthopedic patients, performing joint aspirations and injections, and assisting in the operating room. Prior to that, Kurt worked in the field of General and Vascular Surgery at the then "Burns Clinic" in Petoskey from 1993-1999, and in Family Practice in Rockford and Wyoming, MI from 1983-1993. He has prior training as a paramedic. Kurt is an active member of the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals.
